The Small Business and Enterprise Act came into force in 2015 affecting all companies and LLP’s in the UK.  The act aims to streamline company regulation and make it more transparent. The main update is the requirement for a register of any persons with significant control (PSC).   If your social enterprise is registered as a limited company, CIC, or charitable company then you will have to review your company information and put in place the register if it applies to you.  We have prepared a briefing note on the important information from the act and what it means for third sector organisations.
